We started counting days from the LOI or letter of intent we sent to the Chinese government in June. This was the document that stated that we wanted to move forward to adopt Lillie. After that, you have to wait for the LOA (letter of approval) or LSC (letter seeking confirmation). This is the final approval that the Chinese government has said yes to the adoption. They say the average is 60-90 days but we have seen others wait upwards of 130-140 days. We are praying to be on the bottom end of that first number. We have no control over this nor do we know where our papers are in this process but we do know if we don't receive the LSC by early to mid September, the likelihood of us traveling before the New Year is very low. We continue to pray for a quick turn around and continue to trust that God is in control of this process.
