We received our I-800 provisional approval in the mail today. It was dated
10/15/09. All documents were correct and we have the next step complete.
We now wait for this information to be cabled to the US consulate in
Guangzhou. I hear that this step takes about 10 days. Then we will wait for the Article 5 to be prepared to send to the CCAA.
This weekend we headed to Dallas for a get away. The boys stayed with
grandma and grandpa and Christopher and I had a relaxing day shopping and
seeing a movie. It was a nice break from football season.
C and H played football yesterday and both had exciting games. H ran for the
game winning touchdown and C played hard making tackles.
M is back in school and feeling a lot better. He enjoyed spending time with his Mimi and Papa this weekend. We bought Lillie's carseat and a few outfits to take to China this weekend as well. It was fun to buy
some pink things and a cute carseat with butterflies on it. We are slowly getting some travel items together for the trip. It is going to be a real
trick to get what we need in two bags that can only weigh 44lb each. We are
really going to try as there will be a fee for every leg of the trip if we don't.
Let's see...... DFW to some US city to Beijing. Then Beijing to Taiyuan.
Then Taiyuan to Guangzhou. Then Hong Kong to a US city. Then that US city
back to DFW. That could get rather pricey:) So don't laugh if you see me in the
same clothes over and over again:)Well, I will update again as soon as we get
more information. We are still hoping to leave the
first few weeks of December if all goes smoothly.
